And youโ€™ll be spared the chance of survival from those of us 1000 miles away who will have to witness what nuclear winter is like and slowly die!

According to the "prophets" on YouTube videos, Yellowstone should have erupted a major volcano and wiped out the USA months ago! According to those same YouTube videos, the world ended April 18 and we are all now living an alternate reality. (go figure). It is what it is. No one can change the powers of mother nature tough. Go, enjoy the park, and if she blows, well, .... at least you'll have a front row seat!
X-2, I've said before, if it blows as bad as predicted, I want to be standing there, the rest can choke to death on the dust a month later, after murdering your neighbor for his last twinkie. ๐Ÿ˜‰

The connection between Yellowstone and Hawaii is that they are both located over what are called hot spots, vertical plumes in the mantle that bring heat from deep within the earth. One big difference is that the hot spot under Hawaii is under ocean crust while the one in Yellowstone is under continental crust. That accounts for the differences in the types of lava and the different eruptive styles of the two places. Hawaii is more a less a continuous eruptive sequence while Yellowstone builds up over hundreds of thousands of years and then has one big blow.

Yes, from a historical perpective, the Yellowstone "super volcano" is overdue, but if the average is around 650,000 or 700,000 years, even a 1% variation is around 7000 years.

Believe me, if the big one was imminent at Yellowstone, it would manifest itself in more than the change in the eruptions of one geyser. Think lots of big earthquakes.

It is only connected in that we all share the same molten core. Much of the earth has salt deposits so the report that they collected salt water means nothing. The header states that it is a satirical news source.
