We are considering staying here during summer vacation this year and was hoping to get some feedback. We will be in our 5th wheel, son & DNL in his TT, with daughter, SNL & Grandloves in one of the cabins. Seems to be a nice place!

Anyone stay there? Would you reccommend?

Hi dfrost, all but one (the dry cabin- I think they call it the Kamping Kabin) have kitchenettes and bathrooms. They have two cabins that are larger than the rest, not sure how big your group is. Otherwise the main cabins, where we've stayed- they're not huge but we (family of four) fit well and are able to cook, etc. They also have bbq's and picnic tables outside each cabin.

There is a little swingset for the kids as well as many boulders to climb and wildlife to watch. The last time we stayed there, we saw deer near the cabins every evening. The owners have chickens and allowed my daughters to feed them every day, which my girls still talk about!

There are good pictures on their website, and I'll add a picture I took of my daughter in the kitchenette a couple of summers ago...sorry I don't know how to make it smaller without it being tiny!

Minn camping family....the cabins you've stayed in...are they basic or do they include kitchens and bathroom? We have two grandloves age 7 & 3 who I would like to have more than basic cabins for the week!

We enjoy Rapid City but prefer to get into the Hills more when visiting that area. Rapid City is just on the edge of the Black Hills and it's much prettier the farther in you go.

We have camped and stayed in the cabins at The Roost Resort in Custer, just west of the entrance to Custer State Park. They have a small cg and some very cute small cabins. Nothing fancy, I don't know what you're looking for, but they're clean and well kept.

We have also camped at Beaver Lake Campground, west of Custer, they also have cabins but we've never used them so I can't say what they're like. The cg is well kept and well run so I would imagine they're fine.

Thank you for the link to their reviews. Looks like overall, it has good ratings. Main complaint would be the space, sites are said to be close. We will be out and about during the day, and would only hang out there in the evenings. Should be managable for our needs.

Are there any other places that have been visited which could be reccommended? Main comfort requirement would be the cabin. Would like my daughter and family to have nice accomodations!!

No personal experience but here are some reviews that may shed some light on that particular park.
