Depends on whether you have a horse with you or not. We stayed at the horse camp the first time we were there, because it ws in the winter and that was the only one open. Meanwhile, Piney camp is at the south, is very nice, and has one loop of full hookup sites. the rest range from tent camping up to power and water. Some are power only. Hillman Ferry is at the north end has more full hookup sites, and is overall the biggest. But, it is the closest to the interstate and towns, and therefore get a LOT more use and people. Most sites are pretty close to each other, and it can get very crowded. Restrooms in both are very nice, and are cleaned well, but with a bunch of people, it varies. Canal is a COE campground on the north end and is not too crowded, but is more rustic. We like it. Eagle is toward the center, is harder to get to, not as crowded, but is isolated a lot more. Fishing is good at all of them. We stayed at Hillman Ferry one time during Spring Break, it was packed with kids and people on every kind of transportation you could imagine, but everyone was having a good time, and about 9:00 or so it went very quite, as everyone respected quiet hours. It was lots of fun.
