We are thinking of attending the Cherry Blossom Festival in Macon (might not be any this year) and would like a recommendation of a campground that is close to the festivities. Suggestions please .....

Thank you for the suggestions - it looks like Lake Tobesoffkee is the most convenient

Ditto's on High Falls State Park but if making reservations, make sure you stay in the Riverside not the Lakeside Campground. Most of the Lakeside sites are hard to get into with anything but a very small camper.Riverside has water and electric hookups with a choice of pull throughs or back ins that will fit any size unit. They have nice bath houses with laundry facilities.

Lake Tobesoffkee is where we stay in Macon. I would make reservations.

We have stayed at the KOA in Forsyth and 2 state Parks in the area. The KOA was typical KOA FHU, right along the Interstate. High Falls State Park was nice and just a we bit off the Interstate 50-30 Amp, water and electric Sites with some long pull throughs. Indian Springs SP was further east from the Interstate but was also a nice park with water and electric.
