Departure currently around other commitments will be early to mid November. Destination Lady Lake, FL until about the 10th of April. All dates and travel times are very flexible so we will be in no hurry to get there or get back north. We are on a 6 and 6 plan with our campground so reservations are not a concern.

Had hip replacement surgery this month and waiting to see how long the recovery is going to take. On our fixed income the rising cost of emergency travel insurance, gas, lot rentals & maintaining our residence at home in Ontario is making it almost impossible to keep travelling to our little place in San Benito. Sad decisions to make.

You cannot go wrong with either the Rioz or Angelo's in Myrtle Beach for steak.
There are a ton of buffets in the area also but for a truly one of a kind buffet experience try "The Original Benjamin's Calabash" in North Myrtle.

Thank you, we will do that !
We always stayed in southern Myrtle Beach and mostly ate down in Murrells Inlet and Pawley Island so this is all new to us.
Thanks again...Sher

We leave on Christmas day, and take our sweet time headed to Umatilla Fl. Stay until April 1st and take a couple of weeks to get home:)
Have Fiver will travel with little or no notice at all. I do need to stop at rest areas now and then:)

We're heading out the week of the 24/25th of October. Going to spend the last week of Oct. on North Myrtle Beach, first time there as we always stayed at Ocean Lakes. Want to try a park without golf carts for once. Not trying to start a conversation about GC it's just I'm sick of them.

I am going to take some of Adirondack Jacks suggestions on restaurants there, especially the steak house...sounds yummy!

Then we head down to Cortez, Florida for the winter! It sounds like it may be a cold one up north this year too...

Just the way it should be John&Joey. We all worked a long time to get here and now it's time to relax and enjoy the ride. Thanks for your kind words and send us a note anytime if we can help or if you just want to chat - campfire is always blazing and the coffeepot is always on.

That's exactly how we enjoy snowbirding.

Thanks ever so much for your link in your sig also. You just made my life much easier since we may be heading over to the east, then down to Florida, then over to our current home base in Texas this year. I'm sure I'll use some of your prior research to our advantage.

This has been one crazy summer for us, making it very difficult to know when we'll be joining the flock this winter. Our normal time was early to mid October.

We leave the Adirondacks on Sept 20th and spend a month on the road exploring new parts of 7 States, working on the 'ol Bucket List, before we hit our Winter base near Tampa. Keeping the journey as much fun as the destination!
