We stayed at Mounthaven in 2014. It was very nice, extremely close to the park, full hook-ups, etc. We would not hesitate to stay there again. One note, it had no wi-fi and no cell service anywhere nearby. So don't expect to be connected, if that matters to you.

Mt. Rainier and full hook-ups isn't going to happen even in the National Forests surrounding this national park. Why do you need them for 2 to 3 days?

My choice of close by campgrounds would be the Mossyrock Park Campground (https://www.mytpu.org/tacomapower/parks-recreation/mossyrock-park.htm). It is approximately 45 miles from Mt. Rainier.

Mt Rainier has three campgrounds, Ohanapecosh, White River, and Cougar Rock. None have FHU. All the campground have a length restriction. All open late spring May, June time. There are many USFS CAMPGOUNDS in the area. Check Mt Baker Snowqualmie NF highway 410, Wenache NF, AND GIFFIORD PINCHOT NF. OPEN dares are mid to late May, Memorial Day. If you are coming from California try and pass thru Bend Oregon and head up toward Mt Hood. Great camping and good fishing at Lake trillium.
My new DRW and camper on the truck the first time.

There are two entrances for Mount Rainier on the west side. Paradise and Sunrise
Personally I like Paradise but both are awesome. Check out RV campground in the town of Ashland, WA as that is about as close as you are going to get to the Paradise entrance. Check out Tacoma Power Campgrounds around the town of Morton. They are within driving distance.

Got a great one. Camp La Wis Wis. Dry camping. Next to a raging rapid. Beautiful! Not for large rigs or ability challenged drivers. There is a sign at gate which says "No vehicles over 30'".

Our 5er is just under 36' so we figured the sign did not apply to us. Down into the CG we went. The loop road is really tight. Most sites are guarded by big mean trees. We got ourselves into one much to the entertainment of the camp host who watched from afar. One of the most beautiful sites we have ever been in. Well worth the effort to squeeze into.

Someday you won't be so lucky, in the fall of 2012 this guy with a oversize MH thought he could camp in the Ohanapecosl CG MT.Rainer (32'max lenght ) and got stuck backing into the site and no one could get him out without damaging a big tree. The ranger called for a tow to get him out and it cost him a $500.00 ticket plus the tow fee.
I know this because the Ranger and camp Host told me about it.

Veebyes: La Wis Wis: I camped there when I had a 12-foot popup and thought the turns were tight then!! Hats off to you for doing it in a fifth wheel.

You will not find hook ups in the park at all.
You will have to stay in Parkwood and drive in. Hat is the closest town.
