Need help finding commercial RV park in Colorado

I will be passing through the area between Denver and Colorado Springs later this July. I'm trying to find a decent commercial RV park (all the good state park sites are reserved already). I plan to spend 4 nights so I can explore the area. It seems like everything is already booked up or is geared to the long termers.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

If you can come on weekdays, you'll have better luck at the state parks. Most of the good ones get reserved 6 months in advance for weekends and holidays (like July 4th), as soon as the reservations open up.

Thanks for the input. I admit the ones around Colorado Springs look pretty good but would exceed the limit of miles I wish to travel in one day to reach. I finally settled on Dakota Ridge in Golden. It looked good, had sites available but it sure is pricey. They required 50% deposit (non-refundable) to hold my reservation. Next time I'll try to reserve earlier at one of the state parks.

I would agree that you'll need to stick to down closer to the Springs. I can't think of any commercial RV park in Denver metro that is geared towards the traveler.

If you're looking for something BETWEEN Denver and the Springs, consider Monument CO. H E R E - Monument RVPARKREVIEWS is a resort you may want to consider. Full disclosure - I've not stayed there, so I cannot speak to it first hand, but the reviews seem positive and it would be a place I would consider staying.

You might try the Colorado Springs KOA. We are headed to that area in late July and I also found all the state parks booked heavily during that period.

Look on the Passport America website to see several parks in Colorado Springs. If you join Passport America you will save money at them. They are open to everyone, but you will get your yearly membership back in 2 nights. You can join at Camping World or on
line. If you join online please say that C-119073 recommended you.
