Oconee point COE park?

We are thinking of heading to Oconee point army coe park....but can't find many comments on it.

Can anyone provide comments either way? Thanks!!!

Very nice park. Be sure to check the closing date.

They use to alternate the closure date between Oconee Point and the nearby Coneross COE for the Clemson football camping fans. Not sure if they still do that or not.

When did the COE sites go up on their prices? We stayed at Winfield COE, Appling Georgia a few weeks ago and it was $26 for water/electric. Used to be cheaper than that a year or so ago.

We stayed at Oconee Point COE campground recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were at site 22, which is one of the many sites where you have a shoreline below the campsite. The shoreline is accessible and perfect for boats, kayaks, etc. It was a clean, well-kept campground with hot showers. We drove around and visited most of the COE facilities/campgrounds around Lake Hartwell and decided that Oconee Point was our first choice. Can't beat the price - with the senior discount card it was $13.00 a night.

If you are referring to Oconee Point in South Carolina, I have heard great things about this park. I have personally have not stayed at this COE park but have been to Twin Lakes which is a COE on the other side of Lake Hartwell and have really liked it. The water is back up to normal after several years of drought in the area.
