Oklahoma City park owner called the police on me

Just had a sickening experience I feel compelled to share. It happened at Council Road RV Park in Oklahoma City. I just checked in and paid for a 4 night stay. The owner then immediately kicked me out of the park when he saw me using a multimeter to test the electrical panel at my site! (who doesn’t check park power before plugging in?)He then called the police (gave me no chance to explain myself) and threatened to have me arrested !
I basically drove out under police escort- it was terrible and humiliating to be treated like a criminal.
Owner CLAIMS my debit card was refunded, but I still haven’t seen the money.
I’m over the money, and name calling, and at the point of warning others. I’ve posted brutal reviews on google and yelp. RV Park Reviews won’t post my review because I didn’t “stay overnight “ (how useless is that?). Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? Who else can I tell my story to? Local Better Business Bureau? I fully expect to be attacked for posting this; if the owners side of the story is that important then CALL HIM or SEND HIM AN EMAIL. I would love to hear a reasonable version of this harassment!

OP: FWIW- I use yelp and Tripadvisor as well, however I rate all business I deal with both good and bad. A reader may see your post and see your other posts to get a balanced feel for you. if all your posts are negative you may not get the attention. If I rate someone bad you can see who else I rated both good and bad, build credibility.

YES you did.......Nov 19th

OP didn't get the support/sympathy there either cause the 'story' just doesn't pass the 'smell test'

Well, let's assume for just a moment that the OP is up-and-up on his experience, forgetting those things in the past.

What would cause a campground owner / manager / employee to get so upset that by simply checking the power on the pedestal with a legitimate tool, would upset management so much they would get kicked out, even call law enforcement on them, unless the campground management thought the guest was up to vandalism.

If management told him he had to leave, what prompted the need to call law enforcement. I'd think the OP would be gracious enough to simply "get!"

Regardless of who's at fault or what's going on, if the campground management tells me I have to leave ... I'm out-of-there in a flash! Oh, I may be upset over it, but I'll be grumbling under my breath packing so fast, I'd be out of there even before law enforcement had a chance to arrive!

So, what got the campground management all riled up to behave this way? Just asking?

Did anyone record what was going on at the campsite? Today everyone seems to have some type of recorder with them at all times.

The reviews of the park seem to contradict the OP's experience. Almost all the reviews that mention the staff state they are friendly and helpful. I think it is obvious there is more to this story. Not saying it didn't happen, but if it did, there was something that led up to the events described.

Well, of course you can hit them up on Facebook, but you lose your anonymity.

It is a fishy story though, to the reader. Doesn't add up. And to lead your complaint with how the owner is a thief, and then finish it by saying they refunded the money but you can't confirm it yet. Very different things. Maybe should have waited a day to see if the refund comes through before calling him a thief.

I suppose that's the beauty of using a surge - EMS protector. Who would have thought the problem would not be with the power... but the person BEHIND the power!

My comment would be that it doesn’t do an good to check it at the pedestal under no load. I have plug in volt meters plugged into each leg inside the RV and check it after I’m connected under a load; ac, etc.

There’s no explaining some owners behavior.

What voltage did you see? Maybe he's short on power. Maybe others have complained and he got ticked when someone else came along and started checking. No reason to be upset because a person checked the pedestal.

Does he shoot people on sight for using an autoformer or having an EMS?

You didn't use tools to open the pedestal did you? It does have 240 volts in there if it's a 50 amp site.
