I am trying to find a good safe place to stay overnight after I get on 49 from I55. Heading to Destin Fl. and don't want to arrive worn out. Thanks if anyone can help. I had some help on I55 but wanted to get through Jackson if possible.
I second the suggestion of LeFleur park. This is a quiet, unknown park.......maybe 30 sites......trees, quiet........near downtown, but 'in the woods' and next to a lake.......a few miles north of I 20 on the northbound interstate.......consider it........

Right in Jackson is a very nice state park, LeFleur's Bluff so if you decide you can't find a good place past Jackson you do have a good solution right in Jackson. My review with photos is here.

U have Paul B. Johnson State park on 49. Or u could take a turn in Meridian Ms. An go to Bench Mark RV park.. There is also a RV park in Hattiesberg Ms. I have never been there.

I just did a RV PARKS search on GOOGLE MAPS for Jackson, MS. I see at least ten RV PARKS listed. Some of these have REVIEWS listed. You could click on these points for more information.
