Phoenix Spring Training – Camping at the Ball Park?

I know, this season isn’t over yet (well, it might be, depending on your team), but I started thinking about next spring. Do any of the Phoenix area stadiums allow on-site overnight stays? I’m thinking the atmosphere right at the ball park would be great for a 2 - 3 days. Hooks ups not needed, just a flat spot walking distance from the park.

Was just an idea, no specific team or park. I was thinking about a 2 – 3 day trip without a toad (Phoenix is ~ 6 hrs from me). We would walk to the park from the camp site and catch a couple ball games. The assumption (wish) was there would be a pleasant place to park the RV, near the ball park, with something to do between ball games.

Goodyear Ballpark in Goodyear (Indians/Reds) does have provisions for RV parking, but I doubt they would permit overnight parking. We stayed just a little further out in Buckeye, which has several RV parks. We also stayed at Lost Dutchman SP in Apache Junction, which would be convenient to some of the east valley ballparks. Honestly, once the ball game is over the ballpark is pretty dead...not so sure I would want to camp there even if I could.

Nope, they don't. Try Eagle View @ Ft McDowell (off the Beeline), it's your best bet.

I have been to all the spring training ball parks and yet to see a RV parked overnight. But the only way to be sure is to go online, get the phone numbers of each park and then call the various box offices to get your answer.

I've seen RVs there but don't know if it was for overnight.

No hookups needed? It's can be very hot so expect to run the gen.

To my knowledge (resident of "the valley" - none of the ball parks allow this. Many, many Rv parks here some close to some parks but any are within fairly easy drive of all

Cliff, I am not 100 percent sure; but I would be surprised if camping in spring training parking lots would not be allowed.

We go to spring training games often and found cars lining up to get into the parking lots that are generally filled to capacity. We have never seen anyone camping. There are "tailgate" parties. And there is no better fun than Spring Training games in Phoenix.
