That guy drops into the restaurant once in a while though he soon leaves when customers begin arriving. I was about 15 feet away on the other side of a large heavy wooden table when I took this! He's not lunging, just sunning.


And for the faint of heart, a paloma nesting very close to the rig and less than seven feet above the ground.

I've done both the RGV in Mission and the desert SW in Borrego Springs, CA. Love them both but I give the nod to the desert SW because I like to go off road and explore (ghost towns, mines, slot canyons, springs, rock hounding, etc.). You can't do that in the RGV. However, the RGV has a LOT of things that we like to do so we enjoy it also.
