Does anyone know of a website that posts owner occupied campsites? We want to advertise a campsite on our property. I hope this isn't against forum rules.

Not only have you become a recent rv.net forum member but you are now officially a GOF alumnus, too. Your antagonistic reply has just landed you on my blocked member list. I asked for suggestions about a website, not your opinions on our campsite. FYI, anyone who needs a place to boondock on our property who is an rv.net forum member can camp here free if the site is available. Or, just about any place on our six acres.

We are aware that there are people who are bad neighbors but we have only met the good ones. Our homeowners insurance covers our campsite.

To everyone else, thank-you for your replies and I think we will join the boondockers site as we enjoy meeting folks like us who aren't that fond of crowded campgrounds. We would of course offer free camping to those members.
Hey, that poster brought up some real good points about having others use your spot. You will never know if they prospective campers share the same values as you. You will also need to think about insurance. Suppose you have power issue, now you find yourself in court. The list of possible pitfalls is endless. Good luck

Might just as well tell everyone the address and the price, you have tiptoed around the "no Advertising" rule so much your feet must be getting tired. Just say "where do I place this ad? RV site for rent at 123 main street Anytown USA, rent is $XXX. Site has this and that. Contact me via PM with suggestions." And be prepared to deal with the Kooks, freaks and other assorted oddities. What you are trying to sell is attractive to that crowd. Dry camping, no hookups, not even a pit toilet is worth less than national forest campsites which rent for around $7 to $10 a day. Walmart is free. I wouldn't want people on my property, leaving me who knows what to clean up (trash, dumped tanks, half burned firepits, trees you didn't want cut down, but they wanted firewood etc. All that for the gross income of $100 a month, assuming the site would be occupied 20 or so days a month which is highly unlikely. OH, and don't forget your insurance which probably won't cover any injuries or damages you are sued for when you are running a commercial enterprise without your insurer's written permission.

This link looks like just what you're looking for. I clicked on my own State and saw several "private property" type ads.

And so far, there's nothing at all listed in your State of Wisconsin- looks like an open market!

Old-biscuit, are you sure about the link. I tried it a few times and received the message "this site doesn't exist"

anyone else get that?

Yep, just remove the "HW" at the end. This should work for you.

Yep...sorry about that. Don't know where that 'HW' came from?

We are not interested in having boon dockers stay for free. We charge a small fee for the use of the site. You know, a way to supplement our income.

Neither of those is quite what I had in mind but thank-you anyway. We have acreage and installed a gravel parking spot large enough for a diesel pusher. There is also a concrete pad about 20'x12' and a large wooded behind the slab. We just want to rent it out for a few days or longer as a campsite (no hookups nor bathrooms). Craigslist attracts kooks and no shows. We are not a campground as such but got the okay from county planning.

I will try to see if the two links might be an alternative but what I was looking for was a website that would list property owners that have a space or two available for RVers.

Happy Fourth Of July!!!
