Recommendation for a CG in Hiawassee, Ga

I'm thinking of going to Hiawassee in a couple of weeks and then hit some other areas in the vicinity after a few days in Hiawassee. Never been there. Nearest we were at was River Vista in Dillard.

Any recommendations on a CG in Hiawassee that is big rig friendly ? 50 amp is a must. Looks like Riverbend and Bald Mountain have pretty good reviews... any preference ?

All the cgs mentioned are nice. I recommend that you make your reservations quickly as cgs around Hiawassee, Blairsville and Helen are popular.

Stayed at Riverbend. Would recommend.

Thumbs up for Riverbend for us. Love the place- nice quiet setting near town and Brasstown Bald. Got our 40 footer and toad in easy- plenty of pull through sites and well maintained. Sits on the river (some sites front)

X2 on the Georgia Mtn Fairgrounds. Full hook ups and cable tv and good Verizon service. Eat at Daniels Steak House with an excellent buffet.

We like the newer section of the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds. It is on the lake with a nice variety of sites.
