reservation sites

What in the holy heck is going on with the reservation sites. Recreation.gov and reserve America. I have used these in the past and had no problems.
I just tried to get availability and have no luck. I understand you can reserve 6 months in advance but I cant even get the individual cg to show up. What is up? I guess I can call it in but this is crazy.

I feel your pain. Whoever updated Recreation.gov should be fired immediately.

Well rangerjean, what states and what parks and campgrounds. Calif. no longer uses a third party system they have their own, and I'm not sure about other states. There has been some consolidation among private campgrounds.

Phone calls are a better and faster way to find out.

We ran into this on our last trip. A few of the state parks we stayed at were first come basis. There were some sites that could be reserved, but the rest show up as not reservable. These were basically "walk-up" sites.
