If you are looking for a nice place to stay while in the Smokys, Riverside RV Park is quite nice and convenient. The folks are very friendly and nice sized pull throughs. We have stayed there 3 years in a row. Located about 3 miles off I-40 east of Knoxville.
FYI I am not affiliated with the campgrounds, just a satisfied customer.

Actually it is not a quarry, but a ready mix concrete plant. A quarry would be much louder.

We used to stay there a lot and it is a nice park. We left it because of the traffic to PF and getting out of the park.

I have stayed there several years now and never noticed or heard the quarry across the road. I doubt they work at night.

Guess you do not mind the construction noise of the quarry on the other side of the river- I will never go back there again
