RV park near Kingsport TN?

In a couple of weeks we want to stay somewhat near Kingsport TN in a 32' class A. We will be visiting Kingsport & Knoxville, but would prefer to be closer to Kingsport.
We prefer a woodsie setting, if at all possible. State/National parks would be fine, as long as they have power & water hookups.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Jeff

Anchor Down is DEE-LUX. It overlooks Douglas lake with beautiful views and it has stamped pads with stacked stone fireplaces in some sites, others have stone fire rings. They are at the top of the pricing for campgrounds but you get what you pay for. We have not stayed there as yet, maybe some day.

You will enjoy Panther Creek. All refurbished sites and paved road and pads. 9 have full hook-up. We live about 15 miles away and that's where we go sometimes for a quick getaway. The bath houses have been redone as well and they are the bath suite type, toilet and shower is all yours when you are in it, very nice.

Not a state park, but Anchor Down RV Resort is very nice and has great views of the lake. Closer to Knoxville, but easy drive up interstate to Kingsport.

They just re-did the park this past year. It is still pretty close quarters, but is a good decent park. Some of the sites are small, so make sure you have a site that you will fit into. The ones at the top of the hill are the largest. I think I was site #29, which is right in front of the pavillion. Our friends, who have a 40' 5th wheel were at the very top above the pavillion and their site was plenty big.

I was looking over the state parks & saw Warriors Path. I was also looking at Panther Creek. It is farther from Kingsport than I would like, but closer to Knoxville. I think we will be spending more time in Knoxville than Kingsport, so the distance is OK.

Any reviews of Panther Creek?

Warriors Path is in Kingsport and is an okay place. Sites are close, and not real private, but it is state park and is woodsy. There is also a place in Bluff City (about 15 miles away) on Boone Lake - Lakeview RV Park. It is a commercial park, but gets really good reviews.

In Virginia, Natural Tunnel State Park is about 17 miles from Kingsport, north on Rt 23 (I-26) and has large sites, water and electric and newer campground (Lovers Leap) has newer bath house with individual showers and laundry facilities, 30 and 50 amp. Older campground (Cove View) has 20 and 30 amp, but all pull-thrus (not suitable for large RVs.)

Sugar Hollow Park is in Bristol, Virginia, about 20 miles further up I-81 (exit 7) and has a few sites with water/electric.
