Seattle is not the most traffic friendly place. I-5 either around Portland north. I stay as far away from I-5 as I can so I can enjoy this beautiful country. All freeways for that mater.

395 goes to John Day.The John Day fairgrounds is a good place to stay and ride around the area. The NE corner of Oregon caters to motorcycles. The roads are great. I have ridden over there for many Memorial Weekend riding. I have extended my rides over there to a week before I got our 380TH. I took it and the bike over there for a week a few years ago. I never get tired of all the riding. Scenery is great too.

Mt Rainier NP and Mt St Helen are sights to see in Washington. Leavenworth, Wa. too.
Backpacker and tent camper all my life. Motorcycle trips with a tent too 1978 to Present. 2016 Grand Design 380TH as of 10-29-2015. Now a New 2018 374TH-R Solitude as of 3-16-19. 10-19-18-traded truck for a 2016 Ram 3500 DRW Laramie Crew Cab 4x4 Long Box.

Collier State Park and Logging Museum little north of Chiliquin, OR. Also good jump off for a day trip to Crater Lake.

La Pine State Park good for Newberry Crater Valcono, lava caves.

Tumalo State Park in the Bend area.

Assuming you want hookups, not boondocking...

Mono Vista RV Park - Lee Vining
Gold Dust West (Casino) RV Park - Carson City
Sparks Marina RV Park - Reno/Sparks
Days End RV Park - Standish

....to name a few. This just gets you up to Oregon.

How far north on 395? What route will you take over to Seattle?

We're still in the planning stage. I'm thinking of spending a few days in the Seattle area, park the RV and ride the bikes across the border to Canada, so, maybe Bend, pick up 97 through Yakima ...

Just go to Good Sam RV Parks application. Figure how far you want to approx. travel each day, then select a town along your way. Then put in the town and GS will list all the RV parks in that area.
