I would recommend Willamette Wine Country RV Park. It is not far from either Portland or the coast.

Alpen Rose RV (Durango)has a storage area on the left side as you enter the campground.
If you stay there ask for a site where your rv points to the north. That way you will have afternoon shade outside your rv.

Anyway, we're looking for a base to ride the Harleys from so we can see as much as possible both on the coast and inland. Health issues prohibit staying on the coast or we would be there in a flash. Doesn't need to be exactly close to Portland but close enough to visit there easily when desired.
Well, most everything in OR is south of Portland! (Little joke there as I assume you mean relatively close to Portland itself)
What type of park are you looking for and your needs / wants?
Have you considered going over on the Coast in OR? We just spent (5th time) nearly a month there in three different places. And we will be another two weeks in OR before heading back thru CA (Hwy 395).
And I suggest RV Park Reviews - don't go back more than two years and throw out the top and bottom one for the most part.
Love both OR and CO (we lived in CO and have been back many times and plan to be back there again next year).
