Good morning everyone. I'm planning next summer and am looking for a couple of good parks to stay for a month each. We also need a park that would allow us to store the trailer that we carry the Harley's on. We would like a recommendation for around Durango, Bayfield, or Pagosa Springs Colorado. Also would like a suggestion for a RV park south of Portland, Or for another month stay. Any suggestions?
Thanks for any suggestions.

I suggest you look at South Fork Colorado. I haven't stayed at an RV park there, My son lived there, but there are a lot of campgrounds. I think Riverbend Resort is where they filmed the "Vacation" movie. It's very large and fills up in the summer as does all the parks there. It will be worth, at least, to investigate it.

I would suggest Pheasant Ridge just south of Portland and right on several main routes inland, south and over to the wine country and the coast. It's also close to a large shopping center and the Camping World in Wilsonville is about 2 miles away. They have had some nice office people and some real bu**s and some of their rules are funny. Their spaces are tight and they'll put you in a premium spot w/o telling you and charge you for it too.I have not been enamored with Pheasant ridge lately, but it's a good place for a base camp. Another couple of places farther south are Blue Ox in Albany, again right near several highways going east, west and south as is Phoenix RV park in Salem.
My favorite park is Jantzen Beach RV park, but it's on the north side of Portland and so there's the extra time of going thru Portland. Portland rush hour is a real Bi**h unless you're going the opposite way.

Alpen Rose RV (Durango)has a storage area on the left side as you enter the campground.
If you stay there ask for a site where your rv points to the north. That way you will have afternoon shade outside your rv.

Well, most everything in OR is south of Portland! (Little joke there as I assume you mean relatively close to Portland itself)

What type of park are you looking for and your needs / wants?

Have you considered going over on the Coast in OR? We just spent (5th time) nearly a month there in three different places. And we will be another two weeks in OR before heading back thru CA (Hwy 395).

And I suggest RV Park Reviews - don't go back more than two years and throw out the top and bottom one for the most part.

Love both OR and CO (we lived in CO and have been back many times and plan to be back there again next year).
Sorry, I had to laugh at this one since you are correct in that everything is south of Portland... Anyway, we're looking for a base to ride the Harleys from so we can see as much as possible both on the coast and inland. Health issues prohibit staying on the coast or we would be there in a flash. Doesn't need to be exactly close to Portland but close enough to visit there easily when desired.
