Hello All,

I am hopeing to Travel the US for a year as a Fulltimer. Can you list RV parks that have Woodshops? And please let me know the fees and what you thought of it. And if you don't mind tell me about thier tools too.

Thank you,

If you plan on doing a lot of woodworking just get a trailer and put your favorite tools in it. Secure the tools and tow it behind your motorhome. I see art festivals with guys doing this all the time.

Ah, the pleasant buzz of a scroll-saw, the whine of a lathe. What better way to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the campground than beside the fellow with all this equipment?

Check out Sun -N- Fun in Sarasota, FL. They have everything, including a wood shop with power tools and not just power screwdrivers. We're talking lathes, table saws, etc. BTW, if you have an older version of Streets and Trips, they show Sun N' Fun west of I-75 on Fruitville Rd. but its actually east of I-75 on Fruitville.

We are staying at Preferred RV in Pahrump Nv. They have a woodshop and sewing room. Just $2 a day to use it.

Valle Del Oro in Mesa Arizona had a fantastic woodshop when we were there in 2010. You had to go through a 4 hour orientation to get a pin to attach to your park badge to be able to use the shop. They have just about any kind of woodworking equipment you can imagine.

I think Butterfield RV in Benson, Arizona, has a shop, but I don't know what sort of equipment they have.

I always figured if I full timed I would find a fifthwheel toy hauler for the wood shop in back.

That was the original plan. We had a Raptor 3712. But it was not setup for fulltime life. Our new trailer is.

Its been several years ago, but I stayed at Sun N' Fun on Fruitville Rd. in Sarasota, FL. I was visiting friends in the area, so I didn't spend much time in the RV Park, but they had every hobby known to man or woman, including a well stocked wood shop. I think they're under new ownership since I was there.

Has anyone been to Canyon Lake RV Resort in South Texas? I see they have a wood shop. I am asking about this place because I am interested in the shop.
