We would appreciate suggestions for campgrounds in southern LA, that the folks on this forum like. Last winter we spent some time in southern Mississippi and liked the area and people very much. For a change we are considering the Lake Charles area.

Lake End Park in Morgan City is nice, big-rig friendly with good facilities and friendly staff.

We spent the first part of the 2010/11 season at the Baton Rouge KOA in Denham Springs Al. Found it got too cold and moved on to Fun N Sun RV Resort in San Benito, Texas where we have wintered ever since.

Especially on the coast; I'd look for a park in the woods to get out of the winds.
