Hi: We already made plans for our stay during the month of March in Florida, however, we left a little early from the northeast to avoid more snow and were looking for a place to stay somewhere between Sarasota and naples in an rv resort. We tried state parks but with years of experience we realized nothing would be available. Any suggestions for a place on short notice. Thanks so much.

Ramblers Rest, Sun N Fun are nice. There are a number of RV parks along the coast between Sarasota and Naples. Many are full and will be that way until a week before Easter. When you enter Fla. stop at the welcome station and pick up a Camp Fla. book. They are the parks listed by area and you can pick and call around. You will have time on the drive down. Good luck

Sun n' Fun RV park. Exit 210 off I-75. Turn left on Fruitville Rd. Less than 2 miles from Exit 210.
Ft. Myers is 70 miles south of Sarasota. Pine Island is 100 miles south of Sarasota. Sun n' Fun is huge.
Retired and visiting as much of this beautiful country as I can.

This is an outstanding facility 5 mile East of I 75, Exit 170. It has an Arcadia address, but is very near Port Charlotte.

Take a look at the Encore park on Pine Island, in Saint James City FL. We really enjoy this park.

My wife and I have stayed a number of times at Royal Coachman in Nokomis Fl., just a little south of Sarasota. This time of year they're normally full, but can usually fit you into their overflow area. There is water and electric, but longer hoses and electric lines might be needed, but no sewerage. They do have a dump station.
It's a very nice campground, not too far from the beach. It has a very nice heated pool also.

We like Ramblers Rest in Venice. Lots of nice trees. Some sites riverfront. Boat ramp and fishing dock. Great pool. Not far from town. We like to day trip to Englewood. Not quite as sleepy as it used to be but lots of cool little places to lunch etc. Had to cancel there for last weekend due to fixing up a house our renters trashed.
