We'll be visiting Jack Daniels Distillery and staying at Tims Ford State Park.
Any opinions about the park?

How far south are you going?

Jack Daniels tour was well worth it. We both had a great time. The staff was very accommodating and the tour guide, Chris, was very knowledgeable. There were a few questions about if you can purchase a bottle from the distillery and the answer is yes. They found a loophole in the otherwise dry county where you can purchase as a gift, then drink it later after you leave the county.

Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to explore any trails while we were at Tim's. The next road trip we plan will have more exploring and less travel time per day. Tennessee is such a beautiful state we want to come back and visit again.

When are you going to Tims

We just got back from a week long road trip from Florida to Kentucky. One of the stops along the way was Tim's Ford SP. The park is beautiful and we had a great stay. There were only a handful of campers so we virtually had the park to ourselves. And, you guys are right, the campsites are built more for tent camping than trailer.

The TN Aquarium, Rock City, Ruby Falls, also the Incline are the big ones so to speak. Also the Tennessee Valley Railroad is great.

Thanks all,
We'll be staying at site # 4 in the main area, which has sewer and 30A also.
Kind of going a little off topic, but well be passing through Chattanooga. What's a "Must See" while there?

We enjoy Tims. The sites are small and like everywhere else we have been you have to wonder what the ..... were these people thinking when they built this. The park is really nice also. sites 1,2,3 have full HU. site 1 has 50a 2&3 have 30a. Enjoy JD and Dickle. Larry

TPUC is right about the sites, very shallow. To me it was built for tent camping. You will be fine with the TC though. The rest of the park is very nice. We also like Old Stone Fort, and the time to drive to Lynchburg isn't much more.
