Whoops Tomoka not Torreya:
Tomoka is another nice park. Just about all Florida parks are excellent. It is on the Tomoka River which is really a tidal salt water inlet.
The main attraction for us is the fact that the park is close to the beaches. You can fish off the pier near the park store and put a boat into the water there too. There is a short trail.
The campground is set right into the trees and I'd say that a large RV would have to maneuver carefully around the CG loop road. But we've seen medium sized Class A's camping there.
I can't get the FSP map to load right now but there is another small park just to the north that has the remains of a n old sugar mill. It's worth a visit if you like that sort of thing.
The big attraction Tomoka has for us is that for some reason it is usually easier to get a spot there than any other east coast park in that area. Maybe because it isn't on the beach.
