I believe it is just north of Daytona. Anyone stay here. I'm thinking a couple days in March.

Is it close to beach? Or way out of the way. What activities are there etc? We only have a couple days there.

We've stayed there and enjoyed it, although it has a bit of a "closed in" feeling because of the dense trees. Here are some pix and comments.

We were there in January and mosquitoes were not a problem.

We have enjoyed Tomoka, though it is not our favorite. Mostly dirt roads with lots of humps and shallows on narrow campground roads. Some low limbs, too. Not big rig friendly. There is one pull through, probably easiest spot for larger rigs, but only 30 amp and ada site. Many campsites are shady. Quietier during week, lots of families on weekends. Beach access across bridge in Ormond Beach, maybe 15 minutes. Short drive to many stores and reastaurants. Bathrooms clean during our visits. Rangers have treated us well.

If you really want to be near the beach, check Gamble Rogers SRA a bit further north. It is likely booked every weekend, but watch like a hawk for cancellations. Really nice.

We've stayed there several times. It is on a tidal river and generally does not seem to be as crowded as other near the beach parks. The road into the CG is narrow and twisty but I see at least medium Class A's in the sites so it is passable just take your time. The beach is about a 30 minute drive.

No activities that I know of, maybe some hiking trails and you can fish off a fishing pier. They have a store and I don't recall if they have WIFI or not, most FL parks don't.
