Where's everyone going for Memorial weekend?

We're from Michigan, both of us work and we have 3 kids from 14 to 8. I'll admit that our geographical location has turned us into great lake snobs. Lake Erie is our least favorite, but we're going to give it a fair shot over Memorial weekend.

We're going to Maumee Bay state park in Ohio on Lake Erie. Hopefully do the drive through safari close by.
It's been ridiculously cold so probably won't be able to swim, but Erie is shallow so we'll see how it goes.

Where's everyone else going?

We will be heading out on Wednesday the 24th. Going to Townsend, Tn. Staying at Big Meadows campground. Coming home on June 4.

We usually go to the area of GSMNP two to three times a year. We stayed in Sevierville.

This year we decided to stay on the quiet side of the Smokies.

Looking forward to a great week.

Memorial Day weekend, we'll be at our Adirondack cottage doing some spring cleaning before heading out to Seaport RV Resort near Mystic, CT the following week. From there, we'll slowly make our way west to Oneonta, NY, to spend the Fourth of July week at nearby Gilbert Lake State Park with our granddaughter and great granddaughter.

We will be at Gamble Rogers in Flagler Neach, FL.
Anastasia SP in St Augustine just reopened a renovated camping loop, so there may be some sites available there if anybody is seeking a space.

Holidays don't make any difference here in Oregon. I just came from Beverly Beach last weekend. Mostly full except for the tent spots. It seems like everyone and their dog has an RV. Summers too short to never go on holiday weekends.
Going to Fort Stevens St Park.

Know what you mean. We will be at Silver Falls State Park next week. I know it isn't Memorial Day but it is booked solid. Memorial Day weekend would have fit better in our calendar but no availability.

We are heading to Lums Pond State Park in Delaware. They just did a MAJOR overhaul and it's an easy 1 1/2 hour drive for us on 301. Anyone else out there going to be at Lums Pond? Wishing everyone a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend! Sue ๐Ÿ™‚

After years of being one of the stay at home types for Memorial Day weekend, I'll be heading to the same place I went last year...Rocky Mountain National Park, for the opening of Trail Ridge Road. Got reservations for Glacier Basin very early in the window season, and got the same spot I had last year, which is to say a great spot in D Loop. Will be up on Trail Ridge very early to beat the loonie lookie loos, and back in camp in time for the deer and elk.

EDIT TO ADD: Given that Estes Park just got over 31 inches of snow this weekend and even more up in Rocky, it's going to be a challenge to see what the site I have will be like. It's in the open, so hopefully will be (a) accessible and (b) somewhat melted off. Wasn't planning to take a snow shovel, but sounds like it might be needed. Not even sure that Glacier Basin will be able to open for the season next weekend!

Got a taste of what I will be doing this past Saturday moving Americas Cup course marks & spectator boat area boundary marks around from one GPS position to another.

Sort of a dress rehersal coming up this weekend with 3 days of doing stuff while various AC boats are out practicing. They get serious starting on the 26th.

This is almost as exciting as looking forward to our very first RV trip, Austin, Tx to MD Eastern Shore, or our first trip to Alaska.
