We are from southern CA. We are looking for advises on places to go in mid April (kid's spring break). Any suggestions? We prefer places that are within 10 hours or less away from Los Angeles.

thanks

Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Cedar Breaks NP/NMs would make a nice loop from SoCal if your kids are old enough for some hiking. And a long week (9 days), including driving time and meal/fuel stops, would be about right if you spent two nights in each park.

This would be My Suggestion also - Angels landings before it's Hot ๐Ÿ™‚

Do a Google search for `_______ tourism' and put the city or area in the blank space. I spose Las Vegas is out for the kids. How about Hoover Dam?

go up 395 through lone pine and bishop, etc. all the way up to highway 50. IF the road is clear and you like mountain driving, take 50 west across the Sierras and go down to Placerville and take 49 south down through the gold mining towns, to Mariposa and on down to Oakhurst and then on down southwest to Fresno.
It's a great route if you have time and the roads are clear.

Death Valley has great places to see in the cooler months. Lots of mine building and mills to explore in the surrounding mountains along with the sliding stones out in the playa.
