Where to stay in Yuma next winter for a couple of weeks?

As subject says, we want to stay in Yuma for a couple of weeks next winter. Lots to choose from in RVparkreviews.com, but we always like to ask here before making any decisions.

Here is our profile and requirements:

Good fenced dog park for three shelties
Full hook ups
Hot tub and pool if possible, exercise room optional
Large level sites, paved preferred
AT&T service for hotspot
We have our own satellite TV
Should be convenient to grocery etc.
We don't mind large, well run RV resorts with mix of RV and park models, medium to upper price range

Suggestions for what we enjoy doing:
We are hikers, walkers, double track mountain bikers, moderate off road Jeeping
Love good museums and occasional good dining

There are a lot of private lots in the foothills that people rent. Normally they can have 2 RV's in the lot, but the nice thing about them is that they are normally all fenced in with brick walls and gates. That would be great for your doggies. While we have never rented one, we have visited friends who do and they are very large and spacious and offer FHU's. We love the Yuma area because of the weather and we enjoy the historic areas. We like the Phoenix area and the surrounding area for the amenities; but unfortunately, we cannot tolerate the reduced air quality one finds there. A week is the longest we can stay. And it's much more crowded than Yuma as well. To each his own.

Love good museums and occasional good dining

Well that would pretty much eliminate Yuma. I understand you've booked for a month. Good luck. We spent a week in Yuma and that was about 5 days to long. Only took 2 days to find most of the geocaches.

We really love all of the museums, good shopping, good/great food/ access to mountains, streams, and deserts, art centers and concerts, and all of the rest of things that make our winter stay great in Mesa.

Another one to consider:

Del Pueblo

We spent 6 winters there and enjoyed the easy access to desert crawling, Imperial Sand dunes old mine sites etc..

Nice clean park with lots of amenities and large sites.

I did call them. Said three dogs were ok. That time of year we will have to stay for the whole month of February. Just hoping there is enough hiking and biking to keep us busy. Researching that now.

Try looking at the lots in Sheckert Estates. It's on the southeast corner of the Fortuna Foothills and nestled up to the Gila mountains. I spent three months there this padt winter and began all my hikes from home. Never exhausted the hiking potential. Also, the Muggins mountains are close for variety. And the lots are nice, with facilities. Don't know about pet rules, but imagine it depends upon the owners prefs.

Did that before posting. Many park have either too few or out of date reviews for me to be comfortable in making a decision based on rvparkreviews alone. That is why I posted here.
