5X5 Fence Post Mod - Length Question

I have all the stuff to install the 5X5 fence post sewer hose mod - except my TT. I want to pre-assemble as much as possible before going to the storage lot next Friday for the install. I have a "full width" camper, so is it safe to say will use the entire eight feet of the fence post? I know I have to cut the gutter shorter.

The 8' length under a full width trailer depends on what your full width is. Do you mean an 8' (96") wide trailer or 8'6" (101") like mine? Didn't have to cut a thing for 101" !

Full timing isn't "always camping". It's a different life style living in an RV.

Very easy to cut with a hack saw. Do it all out there and get it just right. I cut about 14" or so off of mine.

You're going to love the mod!

I cut mine a little shorter than the full width (about 10"). Don't want to catch it on something.

On edit, Barney was quicker than me.:)

It will extend to the very edges of the camper if that is what you prefer. On mine, I cut about 6-8 inches off so it was just inside the bottom edge but still out past the frame. That gave me room to put on a cap and, in my opinion, just looks better.

I think, if it were me, I would construct the whole thing but not cut it to length until you get the camper and can actually test fit it. The only end that would need any cutting would be the open end where the removable end cap would go.
I actually made three of them. One for me and one for each of my sons trailers.

Here you can see it installed in front of my old carrier which would not fit the new hose fittings.
