Our Arctic Fox 25Y did not have an option for a fireplace. So after some looking at their 5th wheel line, I found that I could use the same model fireplace, Dimplex DF2608, which comes with their 32-5M model. It may come with others too. It fit perfectly into the cabinet space below our tv.

Northwood, are you listening?

Needed a 4ft piece of wire to tie into another outlet that powers the tv.

Ordered an extra outlet or two from a dealer to make sure everything matched.

The finished product. Im still waiting on colored wood putty to fill my screw holes.

I added one to my Wildcat.Dead space below the television.Found one thru HD that fit the measurements I needed. Fit just right. Added some trim around it and cut out space behind it that goes into my pass-thru and put a grill there for fresh air intake. Added another 110 plug there if I needed it but and also added another electric box there for plugging it into the pedestal so I don't have to watch what I draw into the 5ver.

Nice job. Been thinking of doing the same to our TT. Seeing your install answers a lot of questions for me as to how and what it will take to do my own.

Looks nice, with neat workmanship.

120V wire connections not in an electrical enclosure are not up to NEC spec. That does make work like this tricky, since there are practically no boxes and often little room for them in an RV. You might be able to get a shallow box and regular receptacle and put it in place of the TV outletโ€”or maybe use a (partly) surface mounted one if there's enough clearance behind the TV.

Do be aware of how much power the fireplace consumes when it's heating. If you have other high-current devices on the circuit, you could find you pop the circuit breaker. I guess if that's a problem it will become obvious enough with use...just might be something to think about. I suspect most factory RV fireplace installs have a dedicated circuit, or at the least very little else on the same circuit.
