Looks good but I think the rack is a bit high for my liking. Not a big deal you can always load bikes from back of truck but the additional height can complicates things.
I had a tongue mounted bike rack for a few years prior to moving the rack to my 5'er
You will find the levelness of the sight can occasionally have a significant impact on your bike loading/unloading.

Nice job. You will receive a lot of comments about this mod. from other RVers.

Just one observation, would some 4"x4" triangle gussets on the inside of the main uprights where the cross pieces meet help with strength?

But I tend to over build on this type of project.
If you receive help from other members, don't forget to update your topic with the results.

Good Job. Mine is different but still mounted in front over the tanks. SO much nicer than putting bikes in back of the PU. They eat up a lot of room in a PU bed and are a pain to get in / out. Enjoy!!

Been there, done that in the bed of truck. Problem 1 was wife's bike and little girls bike had no quick release on them and that created the problem of bikes leaning on each other. I have quick release on both mine and my older daughter. We didn't want our bikes all scratched up. 2nd issue was that my bed cover is a trifold. So whatever I put in the very front was locked in till the bikes were unloaded. Ie: tool box or jack for example. 3rd it defeated the whole purpose of keeping my wood dry or anything else without using my cover

you couldn't peel back the cover on your pickup truck and put the bikes in the bed of the truck ?

Will post some more pics later on today. First trip went flawless. Height is just right below top of travel trailer. Sway was a concern during build but rack was very solid during our first trip out.

Wow,

That is up pretty high. I wonder how much they will swing side to side while towing? Looks like some good welding skills went into that rack.

Have fun camping!

Glad to see you have the rack in this area. Mounted on the rear of the trailer literally beats the bikes to death...

Where they are now you can keep a pretty good eye on them looking back with your mirrors...

Nice job...
