We bought this new Starcraft Launch 24RLS at the end of February.
Unfortunately Starcraft changed their design in between the time that we looked at the demo camper at the local show in January and receiving our new one a month later. They cut cost and eliminated a storage door. It is somewhat funny that their web site still shows a cargo door in this location.
This change and knowing that there was dead space under the kitchen counter/cabinets, bothered me. Inside there is the kitchen counter on top, and the couch in front of it with no inside access at all.
I looked around and found the exact size and color cargo door on-line for $30 plus shipping.
Installation was no problem. The hole was cut with a saber saw. You can get covered with fiberglass and styrofoam very quickly. I cut wood strips for the inside lip to screw the door frame in securely. I glued the frame in with Liquid Nails on the inside and silicone sealer on the outer lip.
Now we have another 8 to 9 cubic feet of storage that we couldn't get to before. This will be a good place to keep the water hoses, jugs and electric cord.
