17.5" tires

Anyone done it? I've order the wheels, just need to pick tires. I'm looking at Toyo M143's but they only have a 3750 lb rating.

Hopefully you checked your lug size as 17.5 wheels are available in 2 different lug sizes.

I think I have 16" Hi Spec series 7 on our rig. If I were going to upgrade to 17.5, I'd probably want 6050 lb wheels. That's why I was hoping eHoefler would reply.

I got my Goodyear G114's from Scott at Trailer Tire and Wheels

You can also look up Ron Russell on this forum, he is Performance Trailer Braking

He sells and installed the Titan Disc Brake Conversions, AND Trailer wheels and tires, either separate, or combo . .

My TH already ran 17.5" wheels with a 4905 lb rating. I'm currently running Sailuns H Load 14 ply. Have 12,000 miles on these and they're doing well.

I just put on Yokohama 023 size 235/75/17.5 rated 6000lbs on a Mobile Suites

Make sure you got rims that can handle high pressure.

If you feel you have the need for 17.5 tires and wheels, shop around and get tires rated at 4800lbs. I think Sailun makes a tire in that configuration and most talk very highly of that brand.
