Hi! My DH & I are wanting to hear from anyone that owns one of these 5th wheels. Been looking around and we cant find one of these models anywhere close to us to go thru. Just wanting to know your likes and dislikes. We currently own a 2015 Grand design 337RLS. This cant be prepped for a generator and the fresh, gray and waste tanks are smaller than we like so before fulltiming in 2 years we are just looking at options. We also like the 321 RSTS. This is so crazy!! We live in Indiana where most RV are made and cant even find the 293 RKDS or a 2017 321 RSTS. Thanks, Tara

Actually not bought out by another "manufacturer" but by a holding company, Thor, that now owns a bunch of manufacturers selling a number of different brand rvs.

Our Jayco Eagle Premier is being painted and new decals..huge problem with oxidation. It seems like we are not the only one with this problem. In dealing with the dealer in our area..we were told that we were fortunate to get the work partially covered by Jayco..as they were recently bought out by another manufacturer. Just a little heads up!

Thank you everyone for your response. Very helpful. So we went to a dealer last night and he called jayco co. And we will go take a tour and go thru the 293 when they get another unit for us to view. We looked at the north point by jayco and wow very impressed by those units, but too large for us. WE want to stay right at or under 36ft. WE also want the booth for sleep place for our grandchildren. Thanks again, Tara

I thought I would chime in with a few things since you are in consideration for full timing in a few years. Our fifth wheel is an Arctic Fox 27-5L which is a similar floor plan to the Jayco 293RKDS. the length of ours is about 6' shorter than the Jayco. We moved from longer rear kitchen Komfort and was looking at a shorter length.

We really like the living room area on ours. For TV viewing is straight on instead of at an angle, with the corner kitchen layout, our trailer has a larger feeling compared to our previous rear kitchen. It's good having the fridge closer to the wheels for let's jostling around when traveling. We opted for a booth dinette instead of chairs and a table which works well for sleeping when we have grandkids along.

While ours is prepped for a generator, having a Honda 2000is portable we opted to not have one included. Instead, I installed solar and am about to install an inverter. When done will have spent about the same $$ but won't have the sound of a generator when boondocking except if we get to a shaded area or days of clouds.

Hope it helps even though ours isn't a Jayco. For full timing the bedroom in the Jayco is probably better in size, fwiw.

Being in Indiana, you also might want to spend some time on a Jayco factory tour. That way, you'll at least get a chance to see how they are constructed, and better yet, see one of the specific models you are considering. No charge (at least it wasn't for us), and not too far of a drive depending on where in Indiana you're located.
