5th Wheel Hitch

I have been thinking about moving to a heaver rated 5th Wheel Hitch.

We currently have a 16k Husky Hitch in our 3500 GMC DRW pulling our Jayco Pinnacle.
Our Pinnacle weights about 15,400 lbs. loaded with a pin weight of about 3,500 lbs.

The Husky hitch is now 8 years old, been used a lot and still works good but been thinking about moving up to a heaver rated hitch.
Do not want to have a hitch failure on the road as many miles as we tow these days (about 12,000 to 15,000 miles a year)

We may go to a heaver 5er in the future so if I upgrade I want to be covered.

Our 2012 GMC 35000 DRW is 5th Wheel rated at 23,500 lbs.

What Brand / Model 5th Wheel hitches are the best in the 23K to 24K range.

Yeah... a very pricey piece of equipment, but worth every penny. By far the best hitch on the market today.

I also just had a Reese R20 installed. It is a very nice hitch and real easy to use. It has a green tab that pops out when the jaws close so you can see from the truck cab that you are properly hooked up.

Why not use the 26k from Husky. You have their base rails now just buy the hitch. Check out the 26k video as the hitch has fore and aft adjustments.

If you are going to upgrade might as well go air. These are great hitches, make sure whatever you get has the Holland/Binkley head, positive locking jaws.Clicky

I just installed a Reese R20. I'm planning on a Voltage 3950 toy hauler which will come in at close to 20,000 pounds. The R20 is rated for 20,000 pounds. Has a lot of nice features.

I've got some pics and videos of the installation on my site.

Hope this helps.
