6 point auto level; Level-ish?

This is new for us. Not having an issues with its function, but after taking a shower, our FW is definitely nose down. I could notice it marginally just living in it, but the shower made it way more obvious.

We're good left to right, is it customary to have to raise or lower the cap?

Also, will this be different at every stop, or do i need to have the dealer make an adjustment to the system?

There isnt any harm in just raising the front a bit after auto leveling is there? We've moved on to our final destination, and while the nose down condition isnt really noticable, it's still present.

Only reason for even wanting to mess with it is the shower water wont fully drain.

I do it all the time with mine. Sometimes it's so far off level to start that the auto level won't initiate so you have to just put blocks under the low side jacks and manually level.

When you do make adjustments, make sure you use the manual controls on the leveling system rather than the switch for the front jacks if you have a separate switch. That way the 4 forward jacks work together to raise the front rather than just the front landing gear jacks.

I also put silicon spray on mine several times a year.

The manual for mine recommends silicon spray. Personally I stick to recommended lubes not knowing what sort of seals are used and what if any effect the lube might have on the seals.

It's easy to re-set the leveling system. You will need to first manually level your rig and then go through the reset process. This tells the 6-point brain what the new 'level' is. I used a Bubble Level on the floor to find that. Check several places to make sure.

As was stated, only add fluid with all slides in and all jacks (including the front ones) retracted. There is a full mark on the reservoir.

The problem I have is that I can only partially open the compartment door when I am hooked up, so I ended up making a mark on the reservoir corresponding to 'full' when the rig is all leveled up. Yes, I know the legs can be extended to different lengths at different CGs, but I figure the mark is good enough to give me advance warning if there is a problem.

I also had the popping noises, mostly on colder nights. I called Lippert and they told me to get a quart of a specific Caterpiller hydraulic fluid and add it (after removing a quart of the original fluid). This solved the problem. The Cat stuff was not cheap.

Given the "normal" build quality of RVs these days, the frame =could= be level and it's the tub that's out of whack...

I did notice after posting, my hydraulic fluid took a pretty decent hit after parking and setting the past 2 days.

Our unit is new, im in a huge RV dealer area, any best option for adding to my system?

You can download the manual if you don't have a copy. It has the instructions on how to re-calibrate the "level" set point. I check mine with a level once or twice a year and re-calibrate the system if required.

Also, mine has a tendency to start making a "popping" noise during the heating and cooling of the day after it has been parked for awhile. There is a service bulletin you can find on the net that tells you how to add a quart or two of anti Stiction fluid to help with the problem should you encounter it. I made a couple measurements on my struts and was somewhat surprised to see that normal expansion and contraction on days with wide temperature swings between night and day could be almost a half inch.

Your welcome. It does sound like a weird way to do this, but it did work for me. Not the first time I tried it, however. If memory serves me, I think I actually had to push the buttons 11 times rather than 10. If its a new FW, maybe the dealer forgot to calibrate the system. No biggie. Good luck.
