Our Keystone Avalanche will be 2 years old to Us in July but the towmax china bomb tires celibrated a 3rd birthday in febuary.anyway I have always kept air pressure in check and have only towed about 1000 miles.on the way to last outing, on a two lane road at 60 mph I here a load pop and see tire smoke at the left rear. The tire tread had partially seperated and tire explosion had occured.Ireally expected this but maybe another year or two down the road.had minimal damage and am replacing with BFGOODRICH commercial TAs they should be passed the recall issues by now and or made in the USA.

Bought the BFGs from sams club with a 5 year road hazard/replacement warranty.they are made by Michelin and in the U.S. I weighed the unit was actually 12200lbs, 9600 on the axles empty.the kitchen, water tanks and storage compartments are foward so most weight will be added towards pin weight.and as for the rating on the tires,I have read how they are tested and would trust a properly inflated and overloaded LT tire before I will trust an ST tire at anytime.
From the title I attached to this thread,I have read many instances of blow outs on foreign made ST tires and very few failures of LT replacement tires, overloaded or not.

I wouldn't get BFG. My experience: One was recalled. A matched pair failed shortly after becoming 3 years old. One had a non-catastrophic sidewall delamination (held air until after I got to a Tire shop), and its mate failed hours later with total tread delamination. BFG denied my small claim.

The 16" LT E isn't a good choice at all. Not enough load carrying capacity.
According to Keystone website the 330 RE has a 11700 dry wight and a approx 14330 GVWR.
Your OEM tires were ST235/80-16 E at 3500 lb capacity.
The BFG Commercial LT235/85-16 E has only 3042 lbs capacity.

I see many folks replacing their 16" ST E china bombs with the Goodyear G614 LT235/85-16 G and the Sailun S637 LT235/85-16 G both at 3750 lb capacity/110 psi.
The Sailun is a commercial grade all steel ply carcass tire and is a excellent move.

Some folks with 14xxx + and larger trailers also upgrade to 17.5" trailer wheels and commercial grade LT tires.

Mostly good advice Jim.

However the GY G614 have their share of negative experiences..:(

Not as many a Marathons - but lots more lighter trailers with Marathons on the road.

IMO - the Sailun would be a better choice for the "G' rated tires.

BTW - trivia (other posts) The BFG brand is owned and mfg by Michelin.
Michelin has mfg facilities in *many* countries - USA and *China*..;)

If I was on the "weight bubble" or "cost bubble" - XPS Ribs or BFGs would be my choice before "anything GY".

When unsure of the decisions to make when selecting replacement tires for your trailer it may be best to review some references to help in making good decisions.

There are a bundle of reasons RV trailer tires fail early and sometimes catastrophically.

Your OE tires are rated for 3520# of load capacity at 80 psi. I doubt that you will get much better service from tires rated at 3042# at 80 psi.

That depends on the axles. Keystone on the 2010-214 models for this trailer have the shipping weight plus CC add up to 14300 pounds and list the pin weight at 2300 pounds. That indicates 12K on the axles across the years. Did they install 6K axles?

What does the placard list as GAWR. If it is 6K, then I would install R250's or Ribs and not look back. I would not trust a poly carcass LRE tire rated to 3042 on a trailer that is maxing the GAWR at 6K.

X2 Commercial BF Goodrich T/A. Had them before recall & were then replaced. Great tire, never a problem on my rig.

I did 19.5 s but you can probably do michelin ribs they seem to be a favorite.the goodyear g 614 is another. Make sure you check the load ratings whatever you choose.

Why not spend a little more and install Bridgestone Duravis R250 steel ply carcass tires? There us a lot of peace of mind knowing you have one of the best. Chris
