Any Idea How to Get the Bulb Out of This Light?

I feel kinda dumb asking this question but I was looking at my lights in the ceiling as I want to change them over to LED. However, I can't figure out how to get the cover off the light... The light is about 2'' in diameter and I don't see anything obvious as to how it comes out. Any help is appreciated.

Looks to me to be a GU 10 Halogen bulb. We have them in kitchen overhead fixture and in the range hood. They are a PITA! Push up and turn to release the bulb. Pay careful attention to the orientation of the pins when you lower the bulb. The orientation must be repeated to install the replacement bulb.

yep.. It has to do with the oils on the fingers actually creating a heat shield and the glass will bubble and eventually explode under the print. LED is not an issue.

On the original Halogen bulbs which were made of quartz-type glass, and got VERY hot. oils from your fingers would cause a smudge which would get hotter that the rest of the bulb. Some times this would cause the bulb to crack. Led bulbs do not ger as hot, so not to worry. They were much brighter than regular bulbs because they did get so much hotter.

djgarcia Has it correct except wrong type of lamps.
Body oils left on halogen lamps create burn holes in the lamp and causes early failures.
Cloth is not as good as tissue as the cloth can retain oil and other chemicals even if was used for first time or even just washed.

ITC sites says they use this lamp.
Replacement lamps
Looks like the lens must rotate slightly to remove.
Look for a small release on the side of the fixture.
Best thing to use for halogen lamps is, Kleenex or TP.

Tried that with no luck. Maybe I need to try rubber gloves like mentioned before.

Okay it came out. The trick was to pull from only one side with the spring and not both equally. However, I can't imagine doing this with all 25 lights as it's a bit of a process. I did find though once it was out that the center popped out. If I can find something to stick between the two housings that wouldn't scratch, it would be a pretty easy process to get them all out. It's a very small crack though that's between the housing and the light.

Now I'll have to figure out how to get to the bulb because it's not quite as straight forward as I thought it'd be (since this whole project has been really straight forward).
