Any Cedar Creek Hathaway owners out there who can give me first hand experience living in one in cold weather?? Friend just bought one and was guaranteed (by the salesperson) that it would handle the cold in Northeast Pennsylvania. They plan to live in it year round. What say you??

It is four season if the 4th season(winter) is spent down south.

Why?
Cedar Creeks are a bit above the average. But are still a 3 season RV.

Buying a new TT that will not do what they need (livable in winter) was a bad investment. Try to sell, they will take a beating.

The main thrust of my comment, though, was a bit of humor since Berkshire Hathaway was such a great investment... 😉

I own one. I like it but would never consider living in it through a cold winter. Pipes will still freeze if it gets too cold and it will go through a lot of propane. You can keep a cardboard box warm if you throw enough propane at it. Better off to get an apartment.

Frankly it's not enjoyable living in ANY rv in the cold.

I just looked at a Hathaway last weekend. I fell in love with it. Our Cedar Creek has the arctic package as well but the insulation works better for drowning out train horns that keep the heat in and the cold out.Early in the spring and late in the fall we will burn through both tanks in a weekend

Our cedar creek has been fine but yes you will go through a lot of propane.

“and was guaranteed by the salesperson“

Please post the exact wording of the written guarantee your friend received...lol...from the salesperson.

Yea, my buddy has one, we camped late into the fall. He burned through a 30# tank in just over 24 hours. I did the same in my Cardinal.

Again, ALL SALESMEN LIE!
While CCs are well insulated they are NOT a four season unit. Depending on outside temps he can expect to burn 25 gallons of propane a week when temps get down to the 20s.
