We have a 2010 Crossroads Cruiser, the rubber roof rolls down the sides about 3 inchs. We have always covered our units (2). I no longer cover the Cruiser. purchased a new Adco cover for the winter of 2011, in the spring of 2012 unhcovered and found 4 cuts in the roof material, probably caused by cover movement. With a flat roof ng this probably would not have happened but since the material rolled down the side there was nothing to protect the roof material. No covering this RV again.

I live in Oregon too, and covered our TT. I put it on at the end of Oct and take it off around the 1st of April. Wash it, wax it, cover it. In the spring it will look just like you put it away. We recently bought a new 5'er, now I have to get a new cover. Arrrrg.

Your roof and the paint/decals will last longer if protected from UV rays. I don't recommend using a tarp as it won't breath and is not soft like covers designed to be used on campers. Many people think that a cover is to keep the rain off, however, UV light is the primary reason for a cover.

Since the laws haven't changed YET -
we still have some personal choice so to each his own ๐Ÿ™‚

but IMHE from having a high dollar bra on my last sports car and seeing what the buffeting did to the finish under it...
I'll never put anything on my rv - just wash and wax regularly....

Our TT is covered 7+ months of the year during the winter. It still looks like new after nearly ten years.

If you're talking the blue or silver tarps those don't seem to last very long.

The lot we store our coach on is most times littered with tarps ripped up on the ground after high winds.

Been battling the RV cover issue meself:
Was thinking maybe cover during the warm\hot months (less wind more dust)

Then uncover in the Winter months (more wind and cloudy weather)

We usually travel more after school starts anyhow.

I keep an ADCO cover on mine to protect from the intense AZ sun. I'm one of the few that does and I see the deterioration of RV's that aren't covered - they look terrible.

Search this forum for `RV Cover' and read on. Much discussed/argued topic.

I cover mine during the winter, and an glad I do. Use a cover designed for the purpose instead of a regular tarp. An RV cover allows moisture which will develop to evaporate.
