Anybody ever heard of them?
Now, looking for a 18# hitch for my Rv. Need help, recommendations.
I know this is like asking what tire or oil to use. I just don't have a clue.
Your experience will help me sort things out!

again, thanks for any help

For one I have never heard of bed damage and B&W in the same sentence. That says a lot!

When the kingpin and hitch plates are touching the handle is closed and locked and a quick glance to see the massive 1" thick jaws are closed around the kingpin then there is no way the RV can fall to the bed!

With the jaws being so thick that if you were to have the kingpin sitting on top of the jaws you will see a huge gap between the hitch and kingpin plate. With the thinner jaws 1/2" thick like the Curt the gap between the hitch and kingpin plate is much smaller and may not be noticed in poor light and then the trouble starts.

Talk to people that have had B&W and another brand, they all will tell you the B&W is the best. My last was RBW, no comparison at all. My Dad went from RBW and he feels the same.

I never do a pull test, if you do what I said above there is no reason to do so.

Also if it matters B&W is 100% designed and made in USA.

Hey Bruce,

You may just need to buy a new rail kit for the new truck and have it installed. Then you could keep the SuperGlide since you have it already.

CWitt,

I just called Pullrite and talked with tech support! He said something to the effect that the bolts and tracks conformed to that truck that its in. So, it wouldn't fit? I may call again Monday and get another answer and this time a reason.
Stay tuned!

Thanks
Bruce.

I have been using the Curt Q5 20K sliding fifthwheel hitch for three years and love it. Very secure and quiet, would recommend it.

Hamshog,
I do like Pullrite and I am used to their hitch! I have no mechanical ability so talking about moving heads and stuff is scary to me! Lol
Reading about having to grease something with a Curt hitch and the nipples (?) breaking off doesn't help make me feel better even tho ppl have said its a wonderful hitch?
I'm so Cornfused!

Hey BT,

Not sure why the SuperGlide wouldn't work in the new truck, but if it doesn't, why not go with a Super 5 hitch by PullRite? Same safe, positive locking mechanism, 4 way tilt, and backed by Pullrite.

I am starting out with nothing! No rails, so everything will have to be put in! My super glide for my short bed won't work in a long bed according to Pullrite?
So I am starting out with nothing

Frist did they say why the super glide won't work on a long bed truck. Don't make sence to me. I would get a second opinion on that, sounds like someone wants your hitch. Reese makes a great 18k hitch with a 4 pivot head. Select serries.

Q20 is a good hitch. Curt uses a visual positve lock system to ensure the jaws are locked around the pin. I was upset tho learning it was made 'overseas' and assembled here.

I have the same experience.
But if I were doing it again, I might look at something that leaves the bed flat.

Before pulling the trigger check out the B&W. You will see a big difference in my opinion.

I believe the Curt is the OEM hitch on the new 2013 Rams, if ordered with one. I debated between Curt and Pullrite, went with the Pullrite, but would have been happy with the Curt.

I think they are beefier than the Reese, but 1000's of Reeses out there working fine.

We have the E5 16k and love it. When not in use, it's easy for one person to remove it from the bed. The 10 year warranty was also a plus.
