DFW-Kids at GRANDMA'S-WHERE TO GO?

Wow we are lucky!! One son at church camp for a week, the other with Grandma and Grandpa. Looking for a DFW campground that is awesome for Mom and Dad, maybe a hot tub and within an hour to Fort Worth and Denton as we both have to work.

The essentials: 50a, water, sewer, big rig friendly

Give me your thoughts and ideas and what's awesome in the area! Looking forward to your responses.

I don't think you can find a place with all the criteria you are wanting 🙂

I was thinking the same thing today so, I took my tow vehicle to the dealer for some needed PM and will stay put these week and enjoy the time together. It was a tough hunt. Thanks for all your suggestions, though!

I did not see Ray Roberts mentioned. Now I know it doesn't have a hot tub but it is a nice park.

Ref: hot tubs. I have owned a couple of them and have one now. I have no desire to use a public one. To me, it is using someone else's bath water. I barely let the wife in it. lol

Great idea...but no sewer hookups

Been over in that area twice for work. Good luck finding something good. That area is in dire need of a nice ( quite ) park. Dallas destiny is in that area. But IMHO to close to your neighbors an I-35 is right there.

What about Lake Hubbard south of Dallas?

Do you have a specific campground in mind?

I found this while looking "Lake Ray Hubbard's Texas Outside rating is low because there are no campgrounds on or near the lake"

This is a quite a hunt!

1.5 hours north is Winstar World Casino RV Park. No shade. Pool. not sure about hot tub. Reasonable rates. Very nice park.

Oak Creek is really nice-just a little too far for DW to commute. Thanks. Trying to keep it too no more than 1 hour to Denton or Fort Worth.

Sandy lake is a dump IMHO ...
we would not stay there...

Treetops in Arlington used to be nice - but too much of a commute thru dfw for you...

Mill CREEK is a 12 on a 10 point scale...

go there about monthly - but will be too far to commute daily...

there's not many 'nice' rv parks in the dfw area as the land prices probably pushed them out...
