I understand that. You also missed my point.

"since I do prefer to buy American"

This is the part I was referring to. As in he prefers to buy American, I just pointed out he could have. I agree Sailun has a good record and I would buy them if GY did not make what they do as I also "prefer" to buy American.

I had mine in less than 48hrs from the time I ordered them. Local tire dealer installed and balanced.

A lot of independent dealers carry or can order them for you or do a internet search for Sialun's. We found ours on E-bay of all places. I would stay away from the Maxums. ...Good Luck and Happy Camping

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. We want to stay with ST tires, we looked at Sailun tires but where do you buy these tires. We haven't been able to find anywhere that carry these in Indianapolis area. So that's why we decided between Endurance & Maximus. Thanks

If you're running 16" tires get some LT's instead and never have a tire worry again.

I agree with azdryheat. I know this is not choosing between your two trailer tire options but I think it's relevant: I go LT's on all my trailers now (Boat, jetski and 5ver). Currently running Michelin Defender LTX's on our 40' unit. Very stout capacity rating, smoother ride than the 110 PSI units, better traction in the rain, higher speed rating (easy 80 mph in Utah!), and a lot less $$.

I bought one to replace my 16 year old, original spare tire. ST 235/75R15 load range D. I mounted and balanced it myself and it looks like a great, high quality tire. Lately tire companies have been putting in more details on the sidewalls. For example, I saw a truck tire today that had a jeep driving in sunshine under palm trees, then through snowflakes to represent what used to just say "M + S."
Anyway, this Goodyear is kind of that way, fancy sidewall. I know it means nothing, just kind of interesting.

A tire cannot be judged until it's life is over so time will tell. Besides mine is meant for the spare but I wanted the best I could find. The tire is absolutely made in USA. My Goodyear marathon I dismounted was made in Canada, again, lasted 16 years so pretty good.

I sure hope these turn out to be great tires since they are made in the USA. They have only been made a few months so there's not much actual user experience. Considering I just had a blowout on my Goodyear Marathon that damaged the fiver, I just couldn't pull the trigger on the Endurance until there is some actual history of good quality. That's why I have ordered the Sailun S637 G rated tire.

Maybe the Endurance will be my next set of tires, since I do prefer to buy American. Only time will tell. Good luck.

You could have bought the GY "G" tire that is Made in USA with a stellar record since mid 2007.

GY is a great tire however it is at least $100 per tire more than the Sailun without any added benefit other than damage protection if there is a blow out. I already have insurance I don't need to pay for it twice via an expensive set of tires.

Over on the commercial hauling side the Hercules H-901 in a LT235/85-16 G load/110 psi at 3750 lb capacity all steel tire is very popular on these type trailers with 7k axles. They should last for years on a RV trailer.

For 6k axles the Bridgestone R-250 and the Michelin XPS Ribs both a all steel carcass commercial grade tire in a LT235/85-16 E 3042 lbs capacity.

ST class tires the Provider ST235/80-16 or a ST235/85-16 both E load range/80 psi in the 3400-3600 lb range. This tire is OEM on some rv trailers.
