If I leave my truck for 2 months Jan & Feb in Mass should I take the batteries out or leave them in.

I used one Battery Tender for two 6V deep cycles plus one 12V chassis battery on my Class A. Worked fine. Got 8 years out of the 6Vs

The batteries are hooked in sequence. All you need is one Battery Tender Junior. This one will never overcharge the batteries. Inside the package it should have a charger, cord and two separate style ends. One will be the clamps(I use this for the 4 wheeler) and the other is a split cord with 2 rings on it. Put the red + and the black - on your battery cable ends, route the rest of the connector through the grill and zip tie in place. Then you can leave it in place when all the time on the truck and just hook it up when wanted/needed. That's what I do.

In my world, I would never need or recommend a tender on each battery. Aren't those things hooked together. :h

I use one tender in the winter for both lawn tractors/mowers. I just jump one batt to the other.

But I guess you could use as many as you want, I donno.

If you want a tender, you only need a Battery Tender Junior. Works very well!

No reason not to get a tender, but FWIW, I've had both an F350 and (currently) a GM 2500 diesel in Alaska that have been left for 2-3 months and it hasn't been a problem.

I think the fuel treatment is likely more important than the batter minder, but again, no reason not to get a battery minder.

Battery Tender is the way to go. Need one for each battery. Your truck is a diesel. So if you use a fuel conditioner, make sure it is compatible to diesel fuel. And has an algicide.

X2 exactly what should be done. Battery Tenders are reasonable @ Summit Racing. I have a 2 bank for my UTV and a spare batt if needed. The UTV is always plugged in.

Install a trickle charger that kicks off and on when needed.

Leave them in, but disconnect the battery cable. Mine go dead in 2- 3 months if not used. Our Ford Escape goes deat in less than one month.
