For those with no bathroom access during travel mode.

We would like bathroom access during travel mode, but are considering purchasing one without. Our last three all had access so would be very different. Have you regretted not having access to bathroom? Or has it been no big deal? Do you put your slide out when stopping at rest areas or gas stations, or on side of road? We are not just weekend campers going to nearby places. Travel a lot out west!

For much of my life, I would kick the water out of tire. But sometime in the late '90s some jurisdictions decided that if a woman or child could see, it was a sex crime.
Stay inside, use a fast-food cup. Dump like melted ice before you pull out.

If it was an incredible deal or something else really pushed it above the competition, we could live with it but all else being equal, it's a big plus.

Access to the fridge is probably more critical. Stopping at a rest area or gas station, they typically have a bathroom but no fridge means we can't get to the food.

As mentioned, it's usually possible to put the slide out but an extra hassle. Also, what happens if the slide fails and you can't put it out. Being able to live and function with the slides closed while you wait for repair is a nice backup vs having a trip end.

We make do with the 5er without potty and sleeping access OK. If I absolutely have to have access, I can take the bathroom door off the hinges (really easy) and can squeeze in, then access to the bed through the 2nd sliding bathroom door. The fridge has access if I remove the parrot cage from its travel position. Been using it this way for over 8 years. Where there is a will there is a way to make do.

It would be a deal breaker for us also. With our Front Bath it just requires us to roll over the bed to get there, mush easier than trying to put the slide out.

No access to a bathroom would be a deal breaker for me. My last fifth-wheel had access to sofa, dining table, bathroom and bedroom area. I had to bring the slide-in during a Tropical Storm and was glad I could access all the areas I needed for 3 days.

in my opinion the larger the unit the more important it becomes. small units are easy to manuver in and around smaller places to use public facilities, having said that I think it would be a deal breaker not having access to a bathroom and bed at least as the older I get the less I want to go into public facilities.

Much ado about nothing. Most gas stations or truck stops have plenty enough room that you can extend the slide the 1 foot that is necessary to get to the bathroom. Having 3 young kids, my wife prefers to use our bathroom when traveling, rather than playing public bathroom roulette. We've never once had a problem.

As long as slides were selectable and I could bump the one slide out a foot or so for bathroom access I would have no problem with it.

We have had access on all our rigs but I would not hesitate to deploy a slide as needed, do the same whenever we are overnighting at truck stops, Walmarts, rest areas, and casinos. Never gave it much thought as a deal breaker, using bathroom while underway or on the way is sporadic at best, not a determining factor for us when purchasing a rig. Like anything in life, if it matters to you that is the only thing that counts, enjoy your new RV.

No bathroom access is a deal breaker for my wife..... and no access to at least 1/2 the fridge as well..

Not having a bathroom and the ability to sleep would be a deal breaker.
I can't imagine the floorplan being perfect enough otherwise for me to accept no bathroom access.
My current rig requires the slide to move to get to the fridge which is not ideal but OK. However moving the slide for bedroom or bathroom is a big deal breaker
