Good size kitchen with 3 slides - any suggestions?

I am new to the forum and new to RV'ing. We are looking at the CruiserRV Enterra 316RKS TT but DH would prefer a 5th wheel. The reason we like the Enterra is the large kitchen, 3 slides & fairly modern decor (it's about $35K). It's just the two of us & dogs, so room to sleep 4 is plenty. GVWR on the Enterra is 10,970 (would prefer a little lighter). Any suggestions? I appreciate all opinions - thank you!

My wife and I just purchased the Enterra 316 RKS at the end of March. Brought the TT home to load it up with our homey touches and necessities. We had rain the following night and noticed water on the floor near the sink. The place of purchase immediately picked the TT up next day and ran water over the roof all day and found nothing. They dried and caulked several points of the roof that may have leaked. Returned the TT and we enjoyed the TT in the drive until our next rain four days later. Same location sat another puddle of water running towards the fridge. The RV sales wanted to pick the TT up the next day, but this was not an option as we were leaving for turkey hunting two days later and wasn't done loading with supplies. The next day I thought it would be good to test the plumbing as well as the fixtures. Hooked up water and tested all plumbing as well as fixtures only to find the toilet was leaking and the outside shower was not tight on the back of the valve, showering the bump out electronics with water. These electronics are located just below the outdoor shower unit inside. We were able to clean and dry with no apparent dammage. During our four day hunt we noticed bump out plastic guards hanging to the ground on both the table side as well as the stove side "missing retainer screws". We also noticed the front decals peeling off, not a mechanical issue but C'mon. The only other flaw was the location of the exterior grill gas hook up. It was approx. 16" to far to the left of the grill which didn't allow us to use from the grill support on the RV, we had to use table top. This was no big deal, but where was the spec sheet when this was installed?

Other than this, we love the lay out, storage and the kitchen, well just ask the wife lol. We are looking forward to getting our TT back soon and pray for no further issues as we love everything about it other than the issues.:E

Thanks for reading,

Matt

CrossRoads RV CF 330SS or CF335SS fifth wheel. GVWR is higher than you want though 12,380.

I saw a Crossroads yesterday while at my dealer getting some things. Not sure of the model but it was very nice with rear living, fireplace with tv above, and a knockout kitchen. One thing I found odd, however, was it only had a net carrying capacity of 1,600 lbs. That just doesn't sound like enough for a 33+ foot fifth wheel.

Just one question, what is the TV?
DW and I have a very nice 05 Copper Canyon double slide with a huge rear kitchen.
I am at the max for my 01 Cummins for payload, about a 12K 5er 2,200 pin.

We have a triple slide 5er that has a GVW of 10,750. It is an Open Range. You might check out their floorplans as they also have a "light" series in a 5er and a TT. We have had ours since May of 2008 and have put 15,000+ miles on it. Pulling with the truck in the signature. Good Luck in your search and Happy Camping.

Have you found out anything about the quality of the Enterra? I am very interested. I have narrowed my search down to the Enterra, or the Raven or Bristol Bay (both by Sunnybrook/Winnebago). Some of the front kitchen models might do the trick for you.

You might look at the Heartland Sundance models. There are several floorplans that should interest you there.

You might want to look at the Montana High Country 343RL or the 2014 313 RE have and Model out for 2013 to replace the 313.

There's only 2 of us using our rig. We don't need a big kitchen that just takes up a lot of the living room. With 2 people how big a kitchen do you really need? We've been in lots of others and the space they have just seems wasted..JMHO

Look at the Silverback 29RE or RL. 35" 3 slides with Cathedral ceilings. We have the 29re and I was able to add a free standing island in the kitchen with lots of room left
