Grey Tank 2 Question

All-

I have a 13 Infinity 3470RE. My question is when we have gotten to use our trailer (twice in 12 months... It has spent over 5 month in the shop over the last 12) grey water tank 2 never takes on waste water. So, my black is filling normally and grey 1 fills quickly but grey 2 does nothing. I was told by CW that grey 2 is only for a washer dryer? This is very different from my previous experience. Is anyone else's Infinity trailer plumbed this way?

on ours the bath/ vanity and laundry on #2 grey tank, kitchen sink on #1
I can see reasoning for this also, kit sink can and usually does contain at least some food waste and needs to be treated for odors if held for any length of time. Bath and laundry waste water may contain soap and residue "little bit of minty tooth paste" Might fill up a little quicker... but if were doin laundry were usually at a full hookup CG
my opinion only YMMV

5 months in the shop. I would be looking to the lemon law.

Do you have a washer? Run it and see if #2 tank takes on water

Don't have a washer...then stick a garden hose down washer drain line..see if #2 tank takes on water

(Leave black and #1 grey tank drain valves closed......open #2 tank drain valve and watch for water)
Is it time for your medication or mine?

I was used to bathroom sink and shower before for the tank... So while its not out of the question, I was surprised to hear this. Oh we'll, I suppose it is just the way it goes....

This doesn't help answer your question directly - but we have a Cedar Creek 38FL with 2 gray. The #1 is plumbed to the kitchen sink and shower and gray 2 is plumbed to the bathroom vanity and washer. So we have a very similar configuration that I was very surprised with. So I would say it is very possible.

We purchased a bayonet valve and use that the balance the gray tanks when we need a larger capacity. Not ideal, but it works and gives us the extra capacity.

Good luck
