Just agreed to purchase of 2014 Crusader 295rts. Got a good price because I have been reading here and we started at 37% under MSRP. Also ordered a Turnover Gooseneck hitch, and Companion hitch. Six weeks ago I purchased a 2013 Ram 2500 turbo diesel swb. I believe I will be ready to go when spring comes. Also close to quitting work. 38 years in Law Enf. Should be enough.

Let the feedback begin. What have I done correct and what is amiss.

Right on, with everything all set, think about doing the deletes on the cummins. Not only will it breath better, the mileage will bump significantly.

Why would anyone do deletes on a new truck in warranty much less risk a 10K fine. Government is after the vendors that supply components for deletes and tuners to make the necessary changes for it to run correctly.

Those days on going bye bye!

Congrats to you and thanks for your service. After 42 years of gainful employment a lot of folks told me how terrible retirement was going to be. After seven years I haven't gotten to the bad part yet. It brings to mind the line from the late, great Roger Miller -- Every day is Saturday to a dog.

Let's see here. You are retiring, you bought a new camper and a new truck. I'm not seeing anything that is amiss here.
Congrats, and I too thank you for your career in a public service job.
Now go have fun and relax.

KCherry,

Don't believe you have gone over the proverbial edge. If so, you have some company buddy: Saturday we will pick up our 2014 Grand Design Reflection 303RLS & we just drove home last Thursday in our new 2014 Silverado 3500 CC 4x4 LB 6.6L. So, I with 36 yrs. in L.E. in my past and retiring Jan. 3 from another occupation, REALLY want to believe you are TOTALLY sane!! You only go around once in my opinion; and you have, as have so many others who contribute to this site, from hundreds of various occupations, worked hard and long to earn this.

Enjoy cruising around in that truck and relax in that fiver!

You sir have LOST IT!! Your new trailer is a 295rst (not rts) CRAZY TRAIN ALL ABOARD!!
Welcome to the 295rst club and remember you are indeed crazy because you bought a trailer that the kitchen slide has to come out to access the fridge (insert phycho stabbing sound here) as many others will remind you. Hasn't been an issue for us yet but a great crisis to many others who don't own this trailer. Enjoy your new rig.
Cheers

Congrats! You were able to talk the dealer to 37% off MSRP? I thought I did good at 27%!

With a SWB would the Pullrite Superglide be a better option? I like not having to manually slide the hitch. Expensive but nice!

Oh yes you have, and there is no going back!
It is the best and healthiest addiction there is!!!

Retirement can't come soon enough, it becomes harder and harder to go back to work after each trip, weekend are not too bad the (camping) hangover, week long trips require two to three days at least.
