Hello all. Have never been to the Hershey PA show but have heard great things about it so we are planing to attend next weekend. We are looking at toy haulers and want to see as many floor plans in person as we can in one day. any suggestions from anyone who has been there to help us be efficient looking at toy haulers? Thanks in advance!

We saw many toy haulers we liked, but most of them are too heavy for us and just too much money for something we cannot use all the time. I really wanted to see the Torque 301, but there weren't any. That was disappointing.

We're looking forward to the 270 HG, which is being debuted at the manufacturer's show this week. I wish they would have brought that to the Hersey show. Our nearest Heartland dealer is quite a distance away.

Im in the same boat. Have been looking at the Torque on line for a while. The price is atractive but I am in S Eastern PA and dont have a dealer within a few hours. I dont mind making the drive but I do worry about repairs etc. Would suck to drive it a few hours for warranty work. I also would have like to seen the 301 and a few others but the 325 was nice and at least gave me an idea of the interior. Plus we actually like the 1/2 bath just need a 12' garage.

We have the same concerns about needing service, but my understanding is that Heartland will allow you to choose a private service provider. You might want to contact Heartland directly for more details on that. We happen to have an independent service facility within 3 miles of us, and before we buy I will be confirming that this facility would qualify under the Heartland service provider policy.

Grand Design Momentum fifth wheel toy haulers...
Not payin' $100,000 for a high end 5th with a pair of FOLDING TABLES...what crap.
And when will the MFG figure out that the TV doesn't go on the wall 90deg to the couch...pop it up from the counter top or swing it down from above the slide already!

Yep, the poles are soooo much better...LOL

No, but a REAL kitchen table and chairs ARE!
For 100k I would expect that.

I still stand by the Momentum as best value and build.

18,000lb GVW on 2 axles, (2X8000lbs axles instead of 3 cheap ones) and the only drop frame on a toyhauler for real storage.

Oh, and the Show pricing was $76000, which is where the main stream builders were also..

There were 6 sold signs on the show unit, so someone like it!

I am certainly not arguing that fact. We walked through the one they had and it was very nice. The sales rep seemed to have his sales pitch down pat 🙂 With that said you can easily get XLR's Fuzions etc in the upper 50's to low 60's so you are still talking a $15-$20K difference. That's a nice chunk of change and more then I have spent total on some RV's in the past. I like their thinking but $76K is out of the questions so I moved on pretty quick. I do like the dropped frame for storage as you mentioned. You could live in that storage compartment. But... I would really have concerns with any off road towing. It sure looked to me like the drop frame caused it to loose a lot of ground clearance. My toys are off road toys and the last thing I need is my TH getting stuck on the way in. Beautiful unit though!

We saw this trailer at the Dallas show. It is really nice. Pricing seems to be in line with what they were willing to do as well.

The only thing I did not care for was the lack of an outdoor entertainment area. After having a compartment containing the TV and speakers, I'm not a fan of the TV in the storage compartment that has to be swung out in order to watch it. Especially since I know I would scratch the******out of a TV just pulling things out and putting things away if that was my current configuration.

Good information there, Fuzions are really nice. I have been looking at the XLR
line the past week or so, I might be interested in them.

Well we ended up going to the show on Saturday. Very busy but a great day to walk around since it was cool. Cant believe how many RV's are there. The good news is I got to see all of my options or at least a model close enough to give us a good idea. The bad news is I am just as confused. They are all so nice and so expensive! Really liked some of the new Fuzion floor plans and options. The wireless remote for leveling, slides, awnings, and lights is just cool!! I think the pricing is interesting. They really try to sell you on the idea that these are the best prices but in reality they are no better then the discount RV places. Put some miles on the shoes that day for sure! Overall we enjoyed the show and really got a good feel. I have to say that for folks looking at soe of the less expensive 5er TH's the Torque's were nicer than I expected. From looking at picutres I really thought they would look cheap but they were not bad and general quality looked just as nice as others just with fewer options. Would love to hear from others that were there to see what you thought. Final thought... We were there to look for 5th wheel toy haulers and we were there from 10:30am to 4pm. We checked out maybe 4 or 5 5th wheels along the way just becuase... I cant imagine going to that show if you had no plan of what you were looking for and wanted to see as many as possible. Would take you a few days for sure.

What new floor plans did Fuzion have? What about XLR, did they bring anything new?

Fuzion had the 331 and the 371 there both of which I wanted to see (only interested in dual axel). The 371 was in a brocure they had but not listed anywhere else. 37' unit with a very unique floor plan and 1 & 1/2 bath plus 11' garage. Really like this one but again pricey. 331 was also very nice! XLR had a model 301X12 which was pretty nice as well. All of the brands had beautiful new and existing tripple axel units as well but I cant afford them and cant tow them so I did not spend much time or pay much attention in those models.
