If you are looking for a tonneau cover, I have the Extang Tri-Fecta tri fold cover and have had no problems. I also had an across the bed tool box that on most occasions was not a problem either being able to turn fairly sharp. This is all if you have a long bed. Good Luck.

I went with a Transfer Flow compo tool box and aux fuel tank. it sits flush with the bed and has lots of room between it and the hitch

I've had one of those for a couple of years. The aux fuel tank is the best accessory I've had.

I have the same basic tool box except under the Delta brand name. Probably made by the same china company. I have a Chevy short bed with a slider hitch. I have to be in a full jack knife to even come close to the tool box. At which time I am risking the rear window of the truck. If the slider is back no problem with the tool box or truck rear window.

I had a great diamond plated tool box ,deep, and tall way too tall for my fifth wheel if I ever had to turn a sharp 90*. Sold it and bought one from O'Reillys, lower but also sits on the bed rails has a short profile lid the trailer misses it but several inches it is also diamond plated.

This is a picture i took of cutting down my release handle, but you can see the below rail tool box I have. Can't remember for sure if it came from Home Depot or Loews.

You can get pretty close to the hitch. Unless you jackknife more than 90 degrees you only need a little over half the width of the pin box for clearance. Actually if you measure from the center of the pin to one of the front corners of the pin box, that is the distance you need to clear between the pin box and the toolbox or cover.
If you go with an above the bed tool box, then you would have to make sure the height of the tool box cleared the bottom of the front overhang of the trailer.

Look for a tool box that sets even or below truck bed rails, and you will not have a problem. The back of my below rain tool box comes to within about 4 inches of hitch supports.

If box sticks above the be rails, you will need 5 to 6 inches above the top to the bottom of overhang of trailer.
